Ibadan City Tour

The sprawling city of Ibadan founded around 1860 at one time was reputed to be the largest city in West Africa. It is an important center of Yoruba culture and famous for its seven hills of which Mapo is the highest. You will visit Mapo hall the legislative chamber of old Western region of Nigeria, Agodi Park and Garden a popular recreational spot, University of Ibadan campus (Nigeria’s premier university) Lunch is at a city restaurant. Continue to Oje market selling items of traditional medicine and Aso Oke (country cloth), the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA) with a large collection of tropical plants. Shopping and sightseeing etc.

Tour schedule:

  • Pick up tourists from hotel or designated point
  • In the morning, visit Mapo hill, Oje market and other places of interest
  • Drive to a city restaurant for a typical Nigerian lunch
  • Visit Agodi park and garden, University of Ibadan campus and IITA campus, etc.
